This movement to limit my physician from helping manage my pain is terrifying. Without treatment I am unable to be a meaningful part of society. I cannot work to potential, I am unable to healthfully participate in my family, and fankly, edge toward being a burden on society. Should I give up on everything and seek unemployment? That isn't possible since I am self employed. Should I go on welfare? That seems so unjust when there is a simple solution: Take my medication as prescribed.
I am beginning to feel totally helpless, a feeling that at 58 could be disastrous.

Of course you may.
Informed people are more essential now than ever before, as we watch the deconstruction of the medical system since the mid 1980's.

Thank you for your comments.

Excellent!! Just first rate!

I think you overstate the downside risk of posting this, but even if it causes you some difficulty, it is well worth it. You are doing what doctors are supposed to do: trying to heal, to relieve suffering, to improve the quality of life for people who desperately need help.

May I forward this paper?
